About Galen Colton

 

Galen Colton, owner of Holistic Hands Massage Therapy, uses a holistic model and philosophy as a guide in evaluation and treatment. He integrates many healing practices for your benefit. What sets him apart is his passion for insuring that your body functions well at every level. 

 

Galen's background includes competitive athletics and coaching. While earning a degree in Biology Education at University of Northern Iowa, Galen also studied sports medicine and is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association. His graduate studies were at the University of Kansas while working as an assistant athletic trainer. Moving to Denver in 1988, Galen began working at Denver Broncos Sports Medicine as a staff athletic trainer. While at DBSM Galen worked in clinic, rehabilitating professional athletes, students and patients from all walks of life from injury and post surgery. Galen also worked as the head athletic trainer and head wrestling coach at Littleton High School.

 

Shifting his focus from sports medicine to massage, Galen studied at the Colorado School of Healing Arts, completing certifications in massage and Cranio Sacral therapy, and has maintained a healing arts practice since. Galen is also on the teaching faculties at the nationally known Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver and the Colorado School of Healing Arts, serving both as educator and in class development.
